January 2012:- exciting things happening to Lostwithiel Town band, already a new committee, new band room by end of week. Lots of fund raising to do, but if everyone pulls together we will get there.

Am looking forward to The Lostwithiel Town Band playing at The Ship Inn Lerryn on Sunday 29 May from around 2.45pm in the garden (weather permitting)! 'Tis a high tide in Lerryn at that time, so anyone with a boat can travel up on the river from Lostwithiel, Golant or Fowey to enjoy the music. On behalf of the Padstow Sea Cadet Unit,TS 'St.Petroc',and the other Cornish Units in the Colours Parade on Sunday,28.11.10,we would like to thank the Lostwithiel Band for 'marching-out' the Colours after the church service at which they also played...thank you and we hope to see you all again in Padstow during our brilliant summers!

St Dennis Band are in concert featuring the world renowned euphoniumn player David Childs BBC young musician of the year 2000 at the New Members Pavilion Royal Cornwall Showground Wadebridge on Sunday 23rd November at 7.30 p.m.

Hi Marc, Sadly Mervin Collins recently passed away after a lifetime with the Lostwithiel Silver/Town Band. He will be greatly missed by all i'm sure. Malcom, Arthur and Bernard Hicks still play with the band, and Jane Whitehead has recently joined the senior band as principal cornet. Would you happen to have any good memories or photos of the band while you was in it? Anything would be greatly appriciated. Contact the band using lostwithieltownband@fsmail.net.
